Safe or Unsafe? Photo Cards
Big safety ideas can be tricky to talk about with little ones. These printable photo cards make it simple. Each card shows a real everyday moment, and your child decides whether it looks safe or unsafe, then talks with you about the safe choice.
The cards come in four matching pairs, one safe and one unsafe for each situation:
Car safety: buckled into a car seat, or not sitting safely with the seatbelt on
Water safety: swimming with a grown-up, or jumping into a pool alone
Sun safety: wearing a hat outside, or playing in the hot sun with no hat or shirt
Road safety: playing ball on the grass, or kicking a ball near the road

Ways to use them
Sort the cards into safe and unsafe piles, or under our Happy or Uh-Oh? Cards
Match each unsafe card to its safe partner and talk about what to do instead

Bring them out before a trip to the pool, the beach or a long car drive
